Welcome 3rd Grade Students & Learning Coaches!
I am your teacher, Mrs. Z! My last name, Zehner is pronounced (zay-ner).
Before Oregon Connections Academy, I taught at a public school in Oregon, and I have taught environmental/outdoor education for the last 10+ years around the West.
I went to college at Boise State University for my undergrad and Prescott College for my Master of Education. I love learning, and strive to be my best for the students!
Making Learning Engaging
My favorite thing about teaching is helping students with their goals through something they're passionate about. For example, we can learn standards through themed lessons like animals, or Pokémon, K-Pop, etc.!
To me, more fun = more learning.

I believe strongly in Social Emotional Learning, and teaching students how to regulate in a responsible manor. I believe in natural consequences and providing a steady classroom environment. I prefer to give students the tools they need to be successful, rather than do it for them. I practice these concepts daily in my Live Lessons.
What I do for Fun
I live with my husband Ryan, our new baby boy Ozzy, and our sweet doggies. We love to hike and travel. I love art, animals, music, the outdoors, and playing games.
